Rams safety fined for roughing the kicker penalty
    By Jim Thomas
    St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Safety Craig Dahl’s rougher the kicker penalty last week against New Orleans cost the St. Louis Rams only five yards. But it cost Dahl $5,000. Dahl was fined by the NFL for running into Saints punter Thomas Morstead in the fourth quarter of the Rams’ 28-23 loss.

This is a joke right? His momentum caused him to roll into Morstead.

Geez, this just seems so wrong on so many levels. First of all, it was called a running into the kicker penalty by the officials. I guess the NFL in their wisdom decided to change it and level the fine. Secondly, I watched the play again, and I saw Dahl land flat on the turf, catching the top of the punters foot and lower ankle. It sure didn't look like roughing to me. Of course the punter immediately fell down, then did his best soccer player impersonation by writhing around in pain until he saw the flag, then got up and ran off the field.

I don't know who's more rediculous in their enforcement procedures, the NFL or the NCAA.

What the heck? Dahl was diving in mid-air before the punter had punted the ball away... Wow...

Dockett only got $7500 for elbowing Hasselbeck in the freakin throat! A BLATANT attack ...

As I have stated many times before, and been ridiculed without reason, this is more proof of the vendetta that the league has against the RAMS; mostly because they are in St. Louis.

If something like that was done to a RAMS punter, we'd be lucky they'd even throw a flag. They'd try to play it off as if he was blocked into the punter. There definately wouldn't be a midweek fine.

That would be NASCAR, wouldn't it? ;)
If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.
