Are we tired yet of the dismal and uninspired play from our QB?
Why would a QB force it to a practice squad WR when Avery is your best receiver?
How much can we take of watching Marc throw useless short passes behind the line of scrimmage or inept shovel pitches going no where?

Spags has no confidence in him what so ever, Rams down 18 points and needing a TD, 4th & goal, and he elects to go for a FG.

Why does this Franchaise fail to aquire an availible QB with much better talent? (et., Culter, Quinn, Vick, Cassel, Favre)

QB's nowadays have to be able to read defenses, spot out their sets (ala Peyton & Eli), and mix in an audible if needed. Bulger seems clueless as to which defense he faces.

Pick up the Tempo!!!!! It's like Bulger is sleepwalking through an offensive series, before you know it, it's a couple of 3 & outs and half the ballgame is over. Could someone possibly shake this guy and wake him?

I think everyones come to the realization that the Rams quarterback SUX!

I am on record as not being a fan of Bulger's QB play. He seems to have the tools but is only average under pressure.

That being said, I was not able to view the game but the 'highlights' I saw showed the last pass of the game where he overthrew the receiver in the end zone. The throw was mere inches from being caught and IMHO it appeared there was a high probability of pass interference on said play.

Was this a bad pass on Bulger's part? It did NOT appear so. Did the defense impede the receiver's ability to get to the ball? It appeared so.

But these are the things games are made of, players making plays and opportunities missed. Sadly we tend to focus on missed opportunities when in a funk and can laugh them away when times are good.

Can Bulger get the job done? Not by himself, and other than Jackson the talent pool appears to be lacking.

Things are looking up but moral victories are counted in the loss column.

Did Marc Bulger make the decision to cut Kurt Warner? Don't think so. Our franchise is far from dead. I saw some positives today as I did last week - although it doesn't show at the moment - we are an improved side from last year.

First of all, Bulger doesn't call the plays, secondly, the offense, a West Coast offense, is a ball control system that employs a short passing game, and thirdly, I guess you didn't see 22 yards to Gibson, 25 yards to Amendola, 21 yards to Avery.

Bulger could have done better today, but the failings of the passing game were TEAM failings, with enough blame to go around for everybody.

I was wondering when you were gonna make another one of these threads. First off before you call some one a franchise killer spell it right please. Second as i have already told you, if you are going to bash bulger take him off your avatar. Makes you look like a hypocrite.

Now we all know that we elected to kick a fg on that 4th, but how does this show lack of faith in Bulger? If i remember correctly we went for 3 fourth downs on the very next drive, at least one of them was a laser pass straight to Amendola in double coverage.

And if you seriously think Cassel is better then Bulger you need your head checked. Cassel was good for one year throwing to randy moss and Wes Welker. I assume you could even have a have decent season throwing to two of the best receivers in the game. In KC throwing to a very good Dwayne Bowe he is at best below average.

And that have dream state that you are saying Bulger is walking around with. Many people on this board can agree with me that he had a concussion and pretty much played through the pain (although not well). So how bout we send Darnell Dockett charging at you and see if he doesn't knock you out.

It's the same old crap from Bulger haters every week. They only see all the negatives for Bulger and nothing else. Bulger threw the game winning td to Gibson and guess what it would have been a td but Gibson never saw the ball untill it was to late. It was a fade pattern and Bulger put the ball exactly where it should have been but Gibson did not run the fade correctly. Again today several dropped passes by our wr's killing drives. Bulger had one bad pass and that was intercepted by Wilson. With what Bulger has to work with he's doing better than most qb's would.

LOL to saying we should have gotten Favre in the offseason. He wasnt coming out of retirement to play for a bad team. Cutler isnt exactly setting the world on fire in Chicago either. Funny Cutler was fairing much better on a team with good wr's. He goes to Chicago and now he's an interception machine. Cutler has 17 interceptions this year and only 14 td's. Last year for Denver with better offensive talent he had 18 int's and 25 td's. I guess he's a franchise killer too. Afterall the lack of offensive talent around him in Chicago could not possibly be why his stats are not very good this year.

As for Cassel, his qb rating for 2009 is 75 Bulger's is 73 not exactly setting the world ablaze either. Funny Cassell goes from the Patsies to the Chiefs and his qb rating is down 14 points from a season ago. That could not possibly be because the offesnive talent around him is worse than it was in New England right?

Funny Bulger's passer rating with both Bruce and Holt were with the Rams from 2001 to 2006 on average was 92.7. Bulger had one year with Holt and Bruce where he was below average and he missed 4 games that year. Funny thing just like the qb's listed above as the talent eroded away from the offense so did Bulger's success. So does Cutler and Cassell get passes because they are younger or is there a direct cause and effect of the lack of talent bringing the qb's stats down as well? I get the feeling a lot of Bulger bashers do not see the games because they never seem to mention the multitude of dropped passes by wr's and tight ends. Bulger puts the ball right on them and they constantly drop passes, but that's Bulgers fault.

As to even mentioning bringing in Brady Quinn LOL I already can see what he looks like on a bad team. His passer rating was 51 before the Lions game today, so no thanks. Everyone wants Bulger to take the fall but a qb is not going to fix this team, just look at the Jets. We need to draft a qb, because eventually Bulger will need to be replaced but if Bulger gets some wr's that will quit dropping passes and running incorrect routes he will be a lot more successful.

By no means am I saying Bulger is playing great but he is doing ok for what he has to work with. He could be playing better but who besides Jackson on the offensive side of the ball could that be said for?

I'm not going to bash Bulger nor will I sing his praises here, could he be doing better? Sure, he could also being alot worse with what there is to work with. My real problem is with the play calling, I know the theory behind the West Coast offense but at some point you need to stretch the field if you are also going to try and establish the run with your best player on the field. Defenses don't respect anything deep so they stack 8,9,and even once today 10 men in the box. Jax doesn't have a prayer! I know we don't have the best recievers in the league right now but we do have some speed, make the other team repsect it a little bit by throwing some deep crossing routes or something! This will be my last complaint here, is it written in Shurmurs playbook that Jax has to run off tackle on every 1st down? Thanks for listening friends.

Quinn... Vick and Cassel???

Give me a break.

Cassel isn't horrible and that's thanks to the system he is in. A great offensive coordinator and decent receivers.

Quinn isn't working with much in Cleveland either, but really man. None of them are close to Bulger.

The Mannings are good because of the surrounding talent and coaching. Kevin Gilbride is calling the plays in NY and he is an old Run & Shoot guy. Indy uses a ton of Run & Shoot stuff. This why they have tones of success.

If Bulger was in a Gilbride offense, he'd be putting up numbers better than Eli. He needs to be in shotgun. He has a quick release... and I'm not sure where all this "he can't read defenses" nonsense is from. It wouldn't hurt if he had Dallas Clark or Reggie Wayne to throw to, but obviously WR's don't really matter....?
