  • Talent vs Potential

    From Dictionary.com
Talent-a special natural ability or aptitude
Potential-a latent excellence or ability that may or may not be developed.

Those are the definitions for talent and potential.

Were i think we have talent
    RB-Jackson needs no words
FB- Karney has opened holes for jackson this year
Saftey- Butler and Atogwe are a good duo in the secondary
O-line- I might take some fire for this but i think when we have all of our starters on the line we have a really good o-line
ILB- Jlau has been a monster his rookie season, he will be regarded as one of the best if he maintains this pace.

Were i think we have potential
Wr- Robinson, Avery, Amendola, Martin, Gibson all have alot of potential that need to be tapped.
Cb- Our cb's have the physical attributes and have shown "flashes" but we need consistency

Places were i think we need a total restructuring
QB- No one is denying that we need a new franchise qb at this point, the question is who do we go out and get.
TE- We need a solid pass catcher, someone that our new qb can have confidence in at all times
OLB- We need new people here, Vobora and the Grant, Lenon combo havent been doing us favors.

    Re: Talent vs Potential

I agree with you nearly 100%, however you did forget d line, so i'll throw in my opinion there

Chris Long- Potential. He is starting to graduate over to the talent side of the debate, but still needs to prove it to some.

Little - Talent. Old, but definitely has shown he can play in this league.

Clif Ryan- Potential, I believe this kid will be a force if we add someone worth his salt next to him.

Other DT spot needs to be addressed. Starting to lean towards Suh over a QB in the 1st round after watching a backup rb tear us up.

The only thing I would change on your list is to add bartell to the talent side.

Ya i agree. I didnt put them in their because i honestly dont no were to put them. As individuals you can kinda evaluate how everything is, but as a group that area has radical changes in play every week. From sub 70 yard game from AP to a 100+ yard day from justin forsett, hard to really get a key on what we have as a whole there.
