I know there were only 12 people at the game, but anybody else who was there that saw it, how bad was this guy? He missed a tackle on third down that led to 15 extra yards for the Texans and led to their only touchdown. He had several pass-coverage breakdowns. He was downright awful, even worse than Quincy Butler.

The scheme was simple, to keep Johnson in front of them, and for the most part they did. He had several long gainers, but he didn't get in the end zone, and they didn't let the others around him do alot of damage. Typical bend but don't break system.
Gorrer was the dime back for part of the game, and a nickel player when Butler went down. He looked to do ok in my eyes ...
BTW, what do you expect from these rookies?

:oBend but do not break:red:
Would someone tell me how & WHY this defensive philisophy failed against:
GREENBAY (36pts scored)*, SAN FReako(35), Vikings (38), Colts(42)*, etc etc?
Bend but do not break defenses only work when you have an explosive OFFENSE. Why? Because if your opponent has to take more chances to just keep up in scoring, it gives your defense opportunities.
Now those defenses that can destroy/pressure/harrass a QB consistantly with a 4 man rush, well my money is on them to win. Bend but do not break shows poor defensive coaching, poor talent scouting, and lack of leadership
(*) means the opponent could have scored more if they choose too

You mean the Packers game where we handed them 9 points early with 3 turnovers inside our own 20? The game that was 23-17 at the end of 3 quarters before our inept offense sank and left the defense on the field 80% of the time?
You mean the S.F. team that had 226 yards TOTAL and got 14 points off of a fluke and INT return?
You mean the Vikings game that should had been completely different had we not fumbled inside the Vikings 10 yard line twice, once on the 1? And gave up a fumble return for a TD?
The Colts are undefeated. Enough said.
But this argument is over for me. I don't debate with stat pullers. Watch the games or do some research before you spout.
BTW, Tampa-2 defenses are bend but don't break in nature ...

Start with the O.P.'s post, then try to put one and two together ...
Geez, nevermind, what am I saying. I give up ...
