However, I'll be watching Jason Smith closely. Pace was, in my opinion, the best LT of all time and Smith will never reach those standards; however, he still has to prove himself worthy of being the second pick.

I'm going with Suh. With all the expectations that are already being heaped on him by Rams fans (and we're still 4 months from the draft), if he doesn't have double digit sacks in his rookie season, certain "ever so patient" factions of Rams Nation will jump on him like white on rice. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

it`ll be Suh..every team has more un-realistic dreamers for fans than they do grounded realists..and if Suh dont put up say 10 sacks 20 TFL in his rookie season..he will be branded a bust because of how much we will pay him compared to how much their own salary is...sadly many of the people who will turn on him will be peeps who have no intention of goin` to the games so they wont actually be contributing to his salary..but they will treat him like they are.

suh is a real possibility for next year..if he isn't competing for defensive player of the year as a rookie people will be all over him. bartell and long will continue to get pummeled for not being flashy stat-sheet guys as well..honestly avery probably deserves it more than any of these guys.

Interestingly, nobody has mentioned who it SHOULD be...
NOBODY!!!
Making a single player into a "whipping boy" who is blamed for all of a team's problems is simply not fair. Its a team sport. If a team wins 4 or fewer games, you can't put that all on one guy (same goes with success).
