I know the season still has 2 games to go, but I want to ask what the highlight of the season has been so far.
The Governer's Cup: A 17-9 victory over the Chiefs in Jay Nixon's first Governer's Cup (not to bring politics into it). Quincy Butler actually did something good, returning a pick for a touchdown to give us the lead in the 3rd quarter and the Rams capped off a 3-1 Preseason (not that it means anything) in front of a crowd larger than last week's crowd against Houstan.
Laurent's Endzone: Against the Redskins, down 6-0, we scored our first offensive touchdown of the year on a third down fade route to Laurent Robinson.
The Avery: Down by a ton to the Vikings with 6 minutes left, Donnie Avery did this hilarious dance on his first touchdown of the year.
The New Leonard Leap: Leonard Little picked off a screen pass to give us a 4 point lead with 4 minutes left and took it to the house.
Jackson Carries the Rams: Steve Jackson has a monster game and caps it off with his first TD of the year against Detroit.
Almost an Upset...: The Rams almost beat the Saints, getting the ball back and a chance to score with 2 minutes to play. It ended on a Hail Mary from the 30 yard line that dropped to the turf.
Chris Long's Emergence: He has a sack against the Lions, Saints, and Cardinals in consecutive games, each coming at big times in one-possession games.
Nullified: Boller was a game-time decision against the Titans, and Keith Null finally saw some action. Although we got blown out and Null threw 5 picks, he showed some promise and we didn't have to watch Kyle Boller.
Damn It, Almost Another Victory: Leading at halftime 10-6, the Rams have a wonderful opportunity to beat the 6-7 Houstan Texans. The victory falls short by 3 points.
