    ClanRam FF Championship Game

    Sorry about the late notice everyone.

    The time has come. The Blue, White and Gold leagues have finished their seasons and after this week there will be one team left standing out of 30 to start the season.

    Big congrats to Shower Beers and StrikingRam (Eric2810) for winning their respective leagues. Haven't yet heard who won the White League.

    This week, those three teams will need to get their starting lineups in to their commissioner or to me directly. Post it on this thread, PM it, e-mail it, whatever works. We need these lineups in by Sunday. If any of the lineups aren't in by then, we'll use the previous lineup set by the owner. After all the NFL games have finished, I will manually add up the scores to determine the Overall Champ.

      Another note - the Chargers and Titans play tomorrow, so if any of the FF teams have players playing in the game, they MUST get them in as starters (let us know) OR bench them if they so wish.

      If they can't let us know, any Chargers or Titans who were either benched or starting last week will be locked into place.

          The only Titan or Charger that I have is Antonio Gates, and I'll start him again this week. I'll send you the rest of the lineup shortly.

              We've had a change of plans. The White League is having their championship game this weekend, so we'll have to wait until next week to play the overall champ game.

              I'll send out another notice early next week.

                              I had Brady also, who knows how much he will play this week though.

                                  Well played in the White League, good sir!

                                  Bar-bq's '09 effort got off to a strong start but faltered when I lost Ryan, Turner and Bowe in one week. Conveniently, Ahmad Bradshaw's production took a steep decline shortly thereafter and I was without a RB2.

                                          I was the winner of the gold league. I wonder if my current lineup was used to determine the overall Champ? Any latest updates?

                                                  Bumping this back up. You guys know what to do.

                                                  All the games are on Sunday this week, so there's no rush. I hope Week 17 benchings don't screw with too many of your players.

                                                  Good luck! I'll be in London after the games but will try to get to a computer and post the results as soon as possible.

                                                              So we just did our draft on Monday night, and I noticed that the roster settings got messed up somehow, and in order to fix it I had to reset the draft, which I did last night.

                                                              The problem is that is cleared all starting rosters when I did this. As of right now, 5 teams still have not set their rosters and 4 of them have 1 player going tonight and the game starts in 90 minutes.

                                                              As commissioner what should I do? Fill their roster out for them? Need some advice please.

                                                              Jakester the Commish here. Sorry for the hold-up. I had no idea my fellow ClanRammers would be so eager to join up so early this year. Definitely a good sign. I'm embarrassed to say (as an all-seeing, all-knowing Moderator) I missed tx's 3-week old thread - I even forgot we had a FF forum... I thought this was just a weird role-playing forum for those imaginitive minds out there.

                                                              Anyway, I've read through all those multiple-page threads to see who's started what, get a feel for how many people are planning on playing, the rules, dates, etc. and decided that we will indeed start a separate, new "official" ClanRam Blue/Gold league. No disrespect to badmofo or anyone else who's started one already, but we've got a tradition to uphold here, and the ClanRam Cup just wouldn't feel the same without the usual rules, league names, point systems, and all that neat stuff. That said, I'd be happy to join any of those existing leagues because I tend to have about 4-5 teams a year. I'm guessing most of you that have already joined different ones are the same way (that is, if you're a REAL FF nut), so I hope this is no big deal.

                                                              Now that I've got all that crap out of the way, here's the lowdown on what's concrete right now:

                                                              1) No league has been created yet. Anyone who wants to play, please raise your hand in this thread. Depending on this early guestimate, there will be 10-12 teams per league.

                                                              2) There will be 2 leagues, the Blue league and the Gold league. They'll be completely separate, meaning that Torry Holt will be on both a Blue and a Gold team. Playoffs will be over by week 15, and the champions from the Blue/Gold leagues will face each other in week 16. I'm a little cloudy on how we did this last season (as far as figuring the championship game with the leagues being separate) - so any input would be appreciated. Please forgive my Tetrahydrocannabinol-induced brain.

                                                              3) DJRamFan was the co-Commish last year, but he hasn't been hanging around much lately. Since there will be two leagues/conferences, I'll need another official ClanRam commissioner to help me out and run the other conference. Keep in mind this job comes with humongous responsibility. People have died defending me as Commissioner, there have been many riots, protests, uprisings and whatnot. In other words, don't skip out on the league and be prepared to deal with day-to-day issues like trades, etc. Post it here or PM me if you'd like to take up this great opportunity, and I will choose that lucky person... sooner than later. BTW, I do take bribes [hint, hint].

                                                              4) Weekly lineups will be the classic 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 DEF, 1 K. The number of backups will be determined with a little input from you guys.

                                                              5) PM me with any concerns or questions about the legacy of the ClanRam Cup and how it will run, or really anything else. I'm always open to suggestions, questions...

                                                              There is still one spot open in the Gold League - the #10 overall pick. I desperately want/need to get this spot filled by tomorrow, so if anyone would like to take that spot, please send a Private Message to me as soon as possible. The draft is tomorrow night at 8:30pm Central.

                                                              To find out if there are any other openings, PM RamFan_Til_I_Die for Blue League info (draft - Sunday @ 4:45pm) or RamsFan16 for White League info (Sunday @ 8:45am).

                                                              When trying out the FanStar site for the Gold League live draft tonight, we ran into some major technical difficulties. It would freeze up whenever the draft timer went out for a team and others who were present weren't able to select the players that they wanted. After two-plus rounds (and one excruciating hour already passed by), the timer had another glitch, froze up again, and we decided this was not going to work out.

                                                              Rather than trying to sift through that muck and leaving owners unhappy and deserting their teams, I think it would work best for everyone if we packed up camp and headed over to Yahoo Fantasy Football. We only have another week to do this and I apologize for the short notice. Hopefully, if everyone was planning on making their live draft, they will be around ClanRam within the next week and be able to sign up and fill each league by next weekend.

                                                              If anyone in the Blue and White league would be willing to act as commissioner and set up their leagues on Yahoo, please PM me ASAP and we can work the details out. I am still planning on having a 3-way battle for the overall championship, so only one team per ClanRam member, please.

                                                              Again, sorry for the inconvenience. I have everyone's information that signed up already this year, so I will send out emails & PMs soon.
