Bulger becomes 13th Rams player to go on IR
    By Jim Thomas
    ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
    12/27/2009

It has been obvious for a couple of weeks that quarterback Marc Bulger was done for the season because of a fractured shin bone. The Rams made it official Saturday, placing him on the injured reserve list. Only recently has Bulger been able to walk without crutches, so there was no way he'd be ready to play in the final two games. He becomes the 13th Rams player to go on injured reserve this season.

Cord Parks, an undrafted rookie from Northeastern, was promoted to Bulger's spot on the active roster from the practice squad. Parks came to the Rams as a cornerback, but was switched to wide receiver during the season. He will be listed on the 53-man roster as a wide receiver/defensive back.

    Wow. :o

Marc has gone through quite a bit of abuse these past few years. I wonder how this will affect his future ... especially if the Rams don't improve / strengthen that OL protection!

this is not a big surprise, it should of happened weeks ago but I really think Bulger comes back as the starter next season,I am not crazy over any of the QB'S in the draft and unless they can bring in a quality backup from another team to start I see old #10 back behind center.

My sister's ex-boyfriend's probation officer's daughter's hairdresser's brother is friends with the brother of a girl who works at the EJD in concessions, and she overheard Devaney and Spags whispering to each other across the field about how they were going to trade Bulger and Jackson to get Michael Vick from the Eagles and Adrian Peterson (the one from Chicago, not the good A.P.).

Once this happens, the Rams will be UNSTOPPABLE!

Man, I hate these unfounded guesses - people think they know what is going through the GM's mind, the coaches mind, and 90% of the time, when we guess, we are wrong, even when we call it a rumor.

I know you are new around here, but do everyone a favor and try to be a little bit more civil. Discussing football is OK, but be nice about it - this is NOT the PD board.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before Jason Smith is number 14. He's obviously still having problems and it makes no sense to play him the last week when you're dealing with concussion issues.

No, more as in physically, given the toll / beatings he's been subjected to these past few seasons.
