Who or Whom will it be?

There's no doubt that our 2009 roster is going to be shredded by Devaney and Spags. The question I pose to everyone is which player would surprise you the most if he was sent packing? Not traded...but cut loose.

Surprise me the most would be Steven Jackson or James L.

Surprise me the least would be Richie oooppps already done. How about Bulger, Boller, McMichael, and Barron.

For me it is Atogwe, The kid has done everything asked of him & even came to camp without his contract & then by misfortune he gets hurt. It sucks that we can have a ball hawk that has high standards plays good ball, but because he gets hurt & depending on the severity of the injury, he may flat out get released.
To cut him would have a disastrous outlook for players on the team & any free agents whom we might chase.

It'll probably be Atogwe.

He's one of the best safeties in the league, and he's still relatively young.

If we didn't get Atogwe back, I'd be angry. But if we are talking simply cut from the team, I would be very surprised if Gibson were sent away.

Id be surprised if Gibson or Amendola were let go, but with so many receivers on the roster already someone is going to lose out

Aside from all the top players on our squad who would clearly be a surprise if cut, I'd have to go with Gibson/Amendola like tomahawk and rammer already mentioned. Gibson has really stepped up in the absence of our other receivers and proven he deserves a roster spot. The same for Amendola. He's definitely shown toughness and a desire to be successful.

Also, Jacob Bell. He's turned his game around, for sure. Hopefully it will be enough to keep his roster spot next year.
