while the bionic foot did not make the pro bowl, he was named to the second team All pro today (tied with andy lee)> Jackson was named second team as well. I cant believe anyone thinks that peterson in minny is better than jackson, but its hard to make first team when your team wins one game.

Exactly. Its hard to believe that Adrian Peterson is better than Steven Jackson. Peterson had a better cast around him, and was still outperformed at the end of the year by four other players.

These guys deserved first team honors, but they must be happy making the second team, at least.

Greeny (of Mike and Mike fame) was saying that SJax was an obvious first-teamer. Talked up his stats compared to the 1-15 record.

The only thing that peterson has over jackson is an edge in breakaway speed, and i dont think the edge is that huge. Jackson has better hands, is a better blocker (he is much improved in that area) and is MUCH stronger between the tackles. Lord knows jackson had more one yard gains that should have been three yard losses this year than any player since barry sanders.

I believe that Peterson also had more fumbles, especially in critical game changing situations. SJax deserved it more IMO...
