    Everett, Jim
    Ferragamo, Vince
    Gabriel, Roman
    Haden, Pat

Re: Rank the following Rams' starting QBs

    My ranking:

    1. Kurt Warner
Short, but sweet. Two league MVPs and a Super Bowl MVP.

    2. Roman Gabriel
Was one of the best passers of his era.

    3. Jim Everett
Underappreciated and overshadowed by the Montana lead Niners, but perhaps the most physically talented QB the Rams ever had.

    4. Marc Bulger
Really underappreciated by some, but two Pro Bowls and some very strong statistical seasons will hopefully be remembered.

    5. Pat Haden
Was the efficient leader of several Division winning teams.

    6. Vince Ferragamo
A fan favorite, and the QB who lead the Rams to their first Super Bowl, but his numbers are very pedestrian.

    7. James Harris
Not great numbers, but a good leader.

    8. Chris Miller
Held the job during some the Rams' worst years.

    9. Tony Banks
    Ugh.

Re: Rank the following Rams' starting QBs

        1. Kurt Warner- will always be at the top given his Super Bowl win, SB MVP and League MVP awards. Future hall of Famer.
        2. Roman Gabriel- Prolific passer back in his day.
        3. Jim Everett- Put up excellent numbers for his Ram career, one of the better passers in the NFL in the latter half of the 80's. Career achievements unfortunately overshadowed by playoff disappointments and the infamous "phantom sack" vs. San Francisco in 1989.
        4. Vince Ferragamo- Led us to our first Super Bowl. Impact of Ferragamo goes beyond the 'pedestrian" numbers he posted during his Rams career. Did have 30 TD passes in a season for us, and but for one costly int. played well in the SB vs. Pittsburgh.
        5. Marc Bulger- Would be ranked higher if not for the last three disastrous seasons at the helm.
        6. Pat Haden- Highly heralded coming out of USC, but I never liked him. This was the guy I cursed as a little kid for his failures in big spots.
        7. James Harris- Really don't have much to say about the guy, as I never saw him play, though being a black starting QB in the 70's was an achievement in and of itself.
        8. Chris Miller- Talented but injury prone. Never seemed to get on track. The "Bill Walton" of quarterbacks.
        9. Tony Banks- Questionable football IQ and work ethic. Drafting him a poor choice- and a reminder we must get it right in April!!

          Warner
          Gabriel
          Everett
          Haden
          Bulger
          Ferragamo
          Harris
          Miller
          Banks

          What about Dieter Brock ?
Jim Everett was alot better than he has been given credit for, but he cannot go ahead of Roman and Kurt.

Re: Rank the following Rams' starting QBs

              1) Kurt Warner- the only potential hall of famer

              2) Roman Gabriel- solid and consistent, from what I remember

              3) James Harris- outside of Dickerson, the most underappreciated Ram of all time.

              4) Jim Everett-the most gifted of all coming out of college. Underachieved in the pros.

              5) Vince Ferragamo-but for a Nolan cromwell dropped INT, could be the first Ram superbowl winner.

              6) Pat Haden-undersized, and relatively weak throwing arm, but effective nonetheless.

              7) Marc Bulger-certainly not the most gifted, but has had a pretty good career thanks to the talent surrounding him.

              8) Chris Miller- don't remember much

              9) Tony Banks- good size and good athelete, just didn't translate to good QB.

Re: Rank the following Rams' starting QBs

                1. Kurt Warner - A winner. Placed his team in a position to win the game in the two they lost. Never gave up.

                2. Roman Gabriel - NFL MVP in 1969. Gabriel to Snow electrified the Colisseum.

                3. Jim Everett - Everett to Ellard or Anderson kept the Rams in the playoff picture until Madam Ram destroyed the team.

                4. James Harris - This guy took over for Hadl and guided the Rams to the playoffs. Lead the NFC in passing one year, but was caught in the annual QB carousel in LA.

                5. Vince Ferragamo - Played valiantly against the Steelers with next to no experience in SB XIV. I wonder what might have been if he'd never left for Montreal and the CFL. When he came back, he was never the same.

                6. Pat Haden - Smart (a Rhodes Scholar) but undersized. I still think Namath should have replaced him against Minnesota in the Mud Bowl.

                7. Marc Bulger - Had good numbers. I was never sold on him. I still don't think he deserved the fat contract he received, because the Rams were never the same after he took over.

                8. Chris Miller - The guy Madam Ram went to when she dismantled the team. Need I say more?

                9. Tony Banks - Wasn't even a good backup when he left the Rams. I remember him starting for the Ravens the day Warner started his first home game in 1999. What a difference!

                  Warner
                  Gabriel
                  Everett
                  Haden
                  Harris
                  Bulger
                  Ferragamo
                  Miller
                  Banks
If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.

FWIW, here's how they rank in terms of career passer rating (includes stats accumulated while playing for teams other than the Rams):

                      Warner 93.7
                      Bulger 84.4
                      Everett 78.6
                      Miller 74.9
                      Gabriel 74.3
                      Banks 72.4
                      Ferragamo 70.1
                      Haden 69.6
                      Harris 67.3

The rating system is not perfect, but its not meaningless. Obviously, you don't like that Bulger ranks second (which, of course, you'll chalk up to his "playing with Hall of Famers), but the truth is, from a statistical standpoint, he's had some very good years.

Let's just say that outside of Kurt Warner, Marc has by far and away played with the best supporting cast.

And that very important aspect in all of this, can not be measured by the QB rating system. Nor can leadership ability, which comes into question anytime the name Marc Bulger is brought up.

I would venture to say that several of the afore mentioned QBs would have performed markedly better had they been fortunate enough to play with the talent Bulger has enjoyed in all of his good years.

No matter how you slice it, Marc is a QB with no better than average skills overall. Fortunate enough to have played with superior talent. To say nothing of the far superior offensive minds and schemes.

So yes for those reasons, I certainly believe his QB rating is totally misleading when compared to others in this poll.

Yes he played with a good supporting cast at the early point of his career. But later, those Hall of Fame receivers were on an obvious decline. Orlando Pace missed games due to injuries and was never the same after. The offensive line on a whole was a shambles for the majority of Bulger's time at the Rams. Bulger also had probably the worst defense then any of these QBs on this list for the majority of his Rams career. Yes he played with some future Hall of Famers, but he also played with some scrubs aswell.

                              Talking of Hall of Famers:

                              Gabriel played with Bob Brown
Gabriel, Harris and Haden all played with Tom Mack
Haden, Ferragamo, Everett and Miller all played with Jackie Slater
Ferragamo and Everett played with Eric Dickerson.

Brown, Mack, Slater and Dickerson arent potential future Hall of Famers, these guys are actually in the HoF already. Its weird you use a supporting cast of Hall of Famers to attempt to discredit Bulger, but fail to mention that many of these QBs have played with Hall of Famers surrounding them.

Its seems that its always you that brings up Marc Bulger's supposed lack of leadership whenever his name is brought up. However, as many people have said again and again, Marc is considered to be a leader by his team mates and the coaching staff. There are quotes from players on this team that confirm this. There is not a quote from any player on this team that says Marc Bulger is not a leader, and yet you still call it into question every time.
