  • I just want our LA contingency to know....

....that when the dust has settled from all these business wheelings/dealings, and the St. Louis Rams are still the St. Louis Rams, that you will still have a home here. Even though, some of you have gone out of your way to alienate fellow St. Louis Rams fans, it's all going to be water under the bridge. By gones will be by gones.

And by then, maybe the team will be winning again. We can put all this losing and ugliness behind us, and once again just be St. Louis Rams fans all under the same tent with no geographic dissension.

It's going to be a new day soon. And I just want you to know: no hard feelings; all will be forgiven. In the end we're all just Rams fans.

I would rather them go to LA. Georgia is the reason the team moved. The rams were LA first under Rosenbloom. I don't think carol would've moved the team if he was still alive. yea he drowned, but Carol Rosenbloom swam every day of his life, his death was fishy to me. Georgia is the reason we went to the superbowl, and then became the worst franchise for the past 7 years. I want rams to LA again. But thats just my opinion.

They belong in LA they were there for 40+ years, the NFL should have never let them move. That being said i am a rams fan no matter the city they play for.

What I don't understand is the disturbingly vocal attitude that St.Louis area fans aren't real Rams fans. Somehow it's like some people on this forum think we're all baseball fans who are just bored.

        I don't even watch baseball.

Its just wrong that they moved. in the 80's I remember driving up to Anaheim stadium, it WAS my childhood. The NFL should have done what they did for the browns, i still cant believe they took the rams logo and history. They weere in LA for most of thier history, could you imagine the giants moving! That's what it was like

Have been a Rams fan all my life. I wish they were still in LA so I could attend more games. When they went to St. Louis, I thought I would move on but I still found myself pulling for them even in the Tony Banks years. I guess I am and always will be a RAMS fan. All hail the Blue and Gold!!!

That's because many of them are. Teams that have broad support aren't locally blacked out within 5 years of a trip to the Super Bowl.

There are some genuine loyalists, but many of the ostensible Ram fanbase in St. Louis are baseball fans who merely take pride in the cachet value of having a local NFL team, without taking any of the effort to learn and understand the game.

The Ram fans of the past 15 years need to understand and be sensitive to the LA contingent that did have team pulled out after 40 plus years primarily due to an owner that really did not give a hoot about anything that made sense. St Louis football fans should understand this right? Remember the Bidwells.

I personally do not care where they end up. I do care about stopping all of the losing and cease being the NFL doormat. The Rams, prior to Georgia, were quite a force. In the 70's they made it to 6 NFC Championship games!!
Winning was routine. The owner knew what it would take to put a winner on the field. Since Georgia, not so much.

                      SELL THE TEAM, CHIP.

Get us an owner that understands what it will take to compete in the NFL of the 21st century. I stuck with the Rams when Georgia moved them to St Louis. I'll stick with them if they move, stay, whatever. Just stop the bleeding and let's get back to respectability.

Just keep blabbering about dreams of the Rams coming back to LA, it probably won't happen and I could careless (even though I live in Cali). It's pretty garbage here right now anyways (well being off-topic) with all the foreclosures, budget cuts, heck I don't even know if I can afford to go to a UC college anymore seeing that they increased tuitions by 33%

i know people are worried about the team moving, but stuff happens. those of us from the los angeles days didn't want to see them leave, either. if the city doesn't support them like a big market can (even when the team is losing) and there's an opportunity it's out of your hands, why keep talking about it?

                                LA fans: what if?

I had an embarassing epiphany this past weekend........no St. Louis or LA based Rams fan has any room to complain about the team's geography. Not since my semester in London have I been in a room with so many British accents than at the Bash. These people cross a freakin' ocean to see the Rams! A freakin' ocean!

So with this newly acquired perspective, I would like to open for discussion some possible scenarios for our friends in the Los Angeles area, and those who identify themselves as "LA" fans.

Please share your thoughts, both good and bad, on these potential outcomes. Here's the scenarios:

Scenario 1. Wealthy St. Louis businessman, Archy McBeermaker purchases the team from Chip and swears on his children that the team will forever be in St. Louis, and he flips off LA. Archy then announces Scott Pioli is the team's new GM, and Bill Cowher is the new head coach.

Scenario 2. Same as scenario 1, but the NFL follows with an announcement that next year, LA will receive an existing team.

Scenario 3. Same as scenario 2, but the team will be an expansion team, not existing.

Scenario 4. In an attempt to raise funds, Chip sells to wealthy LA businessman, Slick McCheesy the "organization", but holds ownership over the color, name, and logo. That is to say, the colors, name, and logo remain in St. Louis, but the players and staff go to LA to become the LA "pick your name"s.

Scenario 5. Same as scenario 4, but in reverse. That is to say, Slick purchases the colors, name and logo from Chip.

Scenario 6. Slick buys the team and moves them to LA......with Jay Zygmunt as Team President having full control.

There you go, my Cali friends...............thoughts?
