  • Marlin Jackson

I think Marlin Jackson would be a solid addition for this franchise. He's a 6'0 and the kind of physical corner that Coach Spagnuolo likes. He's has played well for a championship team in Indianapolis since he was drafted in 2005. He did have knee surgery in 2008 but looks to be fully recovered. I have him as among my top Free Agent CB's. In my opinion, Dunta Robinson Leigh Bodden and Ellis Hobbs are the three best on the market, but it becomes a fairly level race thereafter.

The upside, especially with Jackson, is that he is only 26 years old and has lots of experience. He also plays Free Safety giving us an insurance policy if Atogwe goes down or if we're unable to re-sign him. Personally, I quite like Brodney Pool, but he's a concussion away from never playing football again. He'd make a nice pairing with Bartell and Bradley Fletcher, who are similar in both stature (6'2 and 6'0, respectively) and skillset.

    Thoughts?

yeah id like us to have a go at signing him..have seen who is apparently interested in him,tho cant remember the teams off the top of my head..but know the Rams weren`t on the list..for what that is worth...which may not be much.

Dunta Robinson is off the free agency market now btw..got signed by the Falcons.

For Jackson he injuries are worrisome. I liked him when he was being drafted so adding him isn't exactly a horrible thing but the money can't be prohibitive with the knee injuries he's had.

I posted I liked Bodden, rumors are he's asking for a massive contract and it's scared away a few teams who were showing interest. Some of these guys may take a while to sign. We'll see.

Hobbs would require first round compensation.
