  • Perfect Storm nickname by ESPN

In an article earlier this week, Dan Patrick of ESPN made reference to the Rams as the perfect storm. That sort of makes me hope above hope, that the Rams are reading stuff like Newsweek or National Geographic, periodicals that could care less about them. I'm not so worried about the Warners and Faulks, I'm worried about the Fletchers. Players like that starting reading and hearing stuff and the egos take off. Please, no stupid penalties from now on. Play smart. This team does have the potential to do the unthinkable (I won't mention it, but it has something to do with a Dolphins team in the early 70's whose opponents collective winning percentage that year was in the high .300's) but only if it plays smart. If you make a team go 3 and out, walk off like you have been there before. Because you have. Don't act the fool and get a 15 yard PF and give them another chance this year. Stay healthy and play smart Rams, and Maxim magazine is hilarious. lol

they are the perfect storm, but it's only week FOUR Dan Patrick, i'm getting very uneasy about ESPN and such using the "U" word, we are a long way off. We can go into the bye week at 7-0 if the team wants to, but look at the hype we had after the Super Bowl only to tank in the second half of the season.

Right now the egos are on high gear anyway, but its a safe level. The egos are high, but they know they got a lot to prove.

      Agree 100%

Especially w/ Fletcher. Act like you have been there before. Set an example for the younger guys. Aeneas Williams and Grant Wistrom are true pros and will keep the guys level headed despite the antics of Fletcher and Bly. ESPECIALLY W/ FLETCHER!
I'm a big Brian Allen fan anyway and will lose no sleep if the staff decides to groom him to inherit the MLB position.

        ESPN on a RAMpage??
        by RamWraith
I am wondering with the coverage the last couple of days ESPN is doing if they are not taking it upon themselves to bury Martz. It really seems they are making it a point to attack him with every possible angle they can. They are really doing a injustice to a human being at this point and are starting to go over the top. It almost seems like they are trying to go after the guys career and taking as many cheap shots as they can.

        When is enough, enough??

"The Rams have the best defensive line in the NFL." Nice job today, but the reason Seattle is so good is all those great draft picks in rounds 3-6 so let's see if we can keep it going.

do they always doubt us???? honestly just listening to steve young's "young is restless" section on nfl countdown and he thinks the rams will not do anything this season. Sean Salisbury, Mark Scherleth, JoeTheismann all the time never give our team any credit... when will we get our due...

I find it funny that the network and the bunch of losers they employ on there programmes all hate the rams and seem to have something against us.
But now all of a sudden Fitz has a big game and he is the most talked about thing today and they are showing us some love because its the story of the hour.It might just be me but I find that funny.

        GO RAMS,

FITZ WILL LEAD US TO 10-6

        ESPN, make the switch!
        by Nick
I've literally heard only twenty minutes of the ESPN B-team announcers (Brad Nessler, Dick Vermeil, and Jaws), but already they've dwarfed the trio of Mike Tirico, Joe Theismann, and Tony Kornheiser. Keep the B-team every week, ESPN! They make me feel like I'm actually watching football as opposed to an At the Improv comedy act.
