  • Sam Bradford is Bad For D Rams.

Hello this is my first post in this forum Looking forward to many great chats before and during the season. I was really excited about the Sam Bradford draft pick untill my gf watching the draft with me all the sudden goes wow thats funny the rams drafted him. And of course i go into all thease points from us needing a face of the franchise to college stats .. And she stopped me and said no it's funny they drafted him because when you mix up the letters in his name is spells Bad For D Rams /Sam Bradford anyways ever since then i've had an ominous feeling in my stomach SO here i am ready to drink some kool-aid

LOL, Bad for d ramS / Sam Bradford. Man o man, I suppose teams should just hire people that know little to nothing about sports to help evaluate players to catch things like that

Also, you should know I was prepared for a lengthy rebuttal about how having Sam Bradford would actually help our defense. But since thats not your point, I won't go into much detail, but it involves having the offense on the field more and letting the d get a blow.

An anagrammatical misinterpretation, I believe. I prefer to see a sign that The Rams will be ARM'D FOR DA SB ( ARMED FOR THE SUPERBOWL) with our new QB at the wheel & once DeSpags get finished with the rebuild, inc defense.

It is a thread like this that makes me glad we didn't draft Suh - I would hate to see the play on the letters of that name.

Don't get me wrong...I like Sam Bradford.
But we could have had the best of both worlds by picking Suh and then picking Clausen or C. Mccoy...

And now when you look at the draft board Clausen is still on the board which mean the Rams could have had to Top 10 prospects for the price of 1...We have to look at the money aspect now too. Suh at the DT position would fetch about 35-40mil guaranteed and Clausen or Mccoy would have gotten 15-20mil guranteed...so the Bradford pick doesn't make since to me. We're basically throwing him to the wolves...he has no WR....Donnie Avery would be a 3 or 4th option on any other team....Even Stafford has a top WR to throw to, he even has decent RB, and a TE to throw to.

I think when we look back at past Draft we say the Rams past up on good QB's...but you have to remember that the other QB's drafted Mark Sanchez, Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan etc...went to teams where they already had decent players and veteran leadership in place. Rams don't have any of that except for Steven Jackson...

Just my thoughts would love to hear any other thoughts on the pick...

Sam Bradford has the same initials as Super Bowl.

I have the same feelings about the #1 pick. I don't think Bradford is that much more talented than the other QBs in the draft this year, and we could have easily nabbed another high quality prospect in the beginning of the second round. My personal preference was Colt McCoy in the second after selecting Suh as the first overall.

When Bradford's name was announced instead of Suh it "Sunk muh Gonad". And then I shouted, "Uh! Suk Man Dong" Devaney!!

Wow, I mean, who needs a seasoned general manager or coach when we could just appoint this guy to run the team?

It's easy to look at things from your viewpoint after the fact. However, what would have been your plan had McCoy and Clausen been picked in the 1st round?

This team has plenty of talented receivers. Robinson would have likely been a lock for 1000 yards last season if not for the freak injury. Avery will be much more explosive with someone across from him to open it up. Gibson is a nice player, tough, and willing to work. Amendola played nice in the slot. Burton was coming into his own with 15 receptions in 3 games before the injury. Whats wrong with this group? They need some time.

There are plenty of "decent" players here that offer veteran leadership. How about Jason Brown, Steven Jackson, James Hall, Ron Bartell, O.J. Atogwe, Fred Robbins, James Butler, to name a few. Jason Smith, James Lau., Clifton Ryan, Bradley Fletcher, Chris Long, etc. Looks like we are building a nice core nucleus. We are going to build this team the right way.

The Bradford pick makes plenty of sense. He is potentially a once a decade type of talent. If Bradford lives up to the hype, he could be an elite QB for many, many years. He's got much better tools to do so that Clausen or McCoy.

Just bacause they didn't do things your way doesn't mean it doesn't make sense.

                              The new-look Sam Bradford

                              STAFF REPORT
                              Thursday, January 27, 2011

Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is sporting a new look after becoming a spokesman for Axe Hair.

Bradford, who had a shaggy 'do for most of the season, even a beard at one point during his rookie campaign, is the poster boy for Axe's newest styling innovation -- AXE Buzzed Look Cream + SPF 15. It is the brand's first and only product with SPF and protects guys' scalps from UVA/UVB rays.

"I'm always changing up my style -- my ritual is to grow my hair and cut it off at the end of each season," said Bradford. "This time I'm doing it the right way by working with AXE Hair, who's giving me a new buzz look."

AXE Hair, a leader in the men's hair-care category, launched in December 2008. Since then, the brand has worked with some of "football's hottest young players giving them irresistible hair."

                              Could Steven Jackson be next?

                              Nahhhhh....

                              Cool Sam Bradford story
                              by GolfnRAMFAN
I came across this on twitter from somebody called @sullyfootball. Here's what he had to say:

i shared a while back that my brother has a terminal illness and Sam Bradford had granted his make a wish. Well for those that remember he was injured 3 days later in that game so things weren't looking too good for the make a wish and it was going to be maybe put on hold for a year. But Sam Bradford being such a good guy he still wanted to honor my brothers wish. So my brother is out there tonight in a suite in St. Louis and is going to dinner tonight with Bradford. Will be at SAMs favorite restaurant and just Bradford and my family. He gets to go to the game Sunday and get on the field before and after. Really cool stuff. Bradford didn't have to grant the wish due to his circumstances but he still did. Just a great selfless guy. So big ups to the Rams and Sam for being class acts and granting my little brothers wish. Such a cool thing.

(Sorry if that reads choppy, I just lumped all his tweets together).

Love this story though because it was done to help somebody out rather than get attention from it. Well done.
