Carpenter #52

For anyone that cares, Carpenter will be wearing #52 this year, according to Rams roster.

I think he could be a pleasant surprise. He was a 1st round pick, and moved around a lot in a 3-4 D, not given much oppertunity to shine in his natural position.

I for one will be keeping a close eye on this kid, i rather like him.

I'm looking at him as an added draft pick. He is similar to one, since he will be a little raw in Spags' scheme, but he has the benefit of a seeing the speed of the NFL game.

This staff needs to get him to play "mean". He's a great athletic specimen for a LB, they just need to get him to pull a "Bobby Boucher" and tap into his rage.

I can just picture Jerry Jones' face superimposed over his opponents faces, "Whatsa matter with you Barbie are you s- s- s- stupid!?" ;)

I doubt anyone can teach him to play "meaner". You either have that aggressive mentality or you don't.

But, I hope that our coaching staff can definitely teach him to be a more technically sound run stopper and tackler.


But, who knows, maybe he will be more aggressive here. Why? Because he just got a change of scenery, wants to start new, and he wants to prove that he is a new player, and wants to live up to his draft status.

Hmmm...Conan the Carpenter? I kinda like that. If he doesn't make it as a 4-3 OLB he can always become the governor of California.
