    1. Whew!

    2. First place feels pretty darn good right about now!

    3. Way to go defense with 4 forced turnovers and a TD!

    4. Big game for Big Game.

    5. McDonald got absolutely robbed on a great punt return.

    6. Man, did we miss Trev Faulk.

    7. Steven Jackson's stats were not overwhelming, but he had a couple of key 3rd down conversions.

    8. Faulk still knows how to find the holes - but lacks the burst to take full advantage of them.

    9. Hope Wilkins plant foot ankle is okay.

    10. Hargrove making progress.

    11. Bulger continues to show the ability to shake off mistakes and make plays.

    12. Funny how we're not hearing about the lack of a long ball any more.

    13. Liked those two plays to Curtis in the fourth.

    14. Nice to dispatch the Bucs.

    15. Michael Clayton is a player.

    16. The CB play for the Rams was horrible.

    17. When is Travis Fisher coming back? (Soon, I hope.)

    18. Did I mention that first place feels really good?

    19. OUR BOYS ARE COMING TO MIAMI THIS WEEK! WOO-HOO!!!!

    20. I'm tired, and I'm going to bed.

    I hear you AV.
The D did do a good job against the run, but the pass D was...... ( When's Finsher returning?) :disappoin
Nice play Arch; Big Game; Little; Mc D ( you were ROBED!) ; and Bulger.
Nice to see Marc ( The Third Down Sniper) continue to develop. :tough:
Hope Wilkens is alright by next week.

Hope all the Clan who are attending the game bring us a win, and have a great time. :ramlogo:

Where did #20 Anderson come from? That guy is special. I think he may make a big impact on special teams.

And speaking of special teams, I hope that Wilkins is just banged up and not hurt.

Oh yeah. Real special. Wasn't he the one that was called for the illegal block on McDonald's punt return (I do agree with AvengerMania that McDonald got robbed though - Anderson's head was in front of the tackler and he made contact shoulder in front of shoulder - downright highway robbery).

But let's see ... he runs 5 yards out of bounds, knows where the one-inch line is, but doesn't have the sense not to touch the ball 1st after coming back in bounds and forces everyone to do it all over again with a brain cramp penalty. Then on the follow-up punt, Landeada-may-still-be-alive gets a good bounce but before the ball is left to roll some more Anderson bursts in and downs it prematurely despite at least two Rams protecting the ball from going into the endzone. Oh yeah. Real special.

I like his enthusiasm to an extent but I wish he wouldn't run at full tilt enthusiasm all the time. Tone down a little. I don't need to see your muscles just because you downed a punt on the 5 yard line.

Yea, he's over-zealous to say the least, but this defense could use a little more emotion. I think he will develop into a decent corner. Like I said during training camp, he's sandpaper underwear raw, but he has great upside.

The illegal block call was a bad one. You can't blame him for that mistake. I'll agree he is making mistakes with his knowledge of the rules, but he has great focus and passion and seems to end up in the right place. He is raw but I think he will develop. Give the guy a chance.

honestly i think if he didnt stop the ball, it would have gone in the endzone for a touchback, he did a ok thing and honestly i dont like the rule that states if he goes out of bounds he cant touch the ball first..he was pushed out of bounds..archuleta was awesome..i cant believe that play.. it saved the game for us.

This was great to see. The defense is finally getting more aggressive and forcing the issue which is going to be a key to future success.

That was a HORRIBLE call on a great block by Anderson, who made that touchdown possible. I like this kid. I see improvement coming on the Special Teams, especially when Faulk gets back, I agree he is missed.

                    12. Funny how we're not hearing about the lack of a long ball any more.
Good point Av. As someone who ripped Bulger's lack of touch on the long ball last season, let me say he now looks incredible. Amazing turn around.

While 500 FootPounds of torque are twisting 180 degrees, in a downward spiral to meet an immovable object, the A Train singlehandedly wrenches the ball away from the four points of football security. That play all by itself just sold the Plyometrics Training Regime to another 10 distributers.

The CB play for the Rams was horrible.
Jerametrius Butler made some key plays and played pretty well overall in my opinion. Meanwhile, the other side of the field scares me. Once T-Fish gets back I'll feel much more comfortable with the secondary. Let's hope we have him after the bye week.

                            by AvengerRam_old
                            1. Marc Bulger has H - E - A - R - T... HEART!!!!!

                            2. He's got a pretty decent arm too!

                            3. The Defense looked horrible in the first half...

                            4. The way they got it together in the second half was shockulous (a combination of shocking and fabulous).

                            5. Got to got to go to get Steven Jackson the ball even more!

                            6. McDonald, Curtis and Looker all with big catches... what a thing of beauty.

                            7. When McDonald caught that game winning TD pass, you think somewhere Flipper Anderson was watching at home saying, "that looked familiar"?

                            8. Trev Faulk has single handedly turned around the Rams' kick coverage.

                            9. Sooner or later, Leonard Little is going to make a big play.

                            10. Can't wait to get Travis Fisher back.

                            11. Subtle key to the game - Martz's decision to soften up Seahawks' D by running ball on first drive of second half.

                            12. Brandon Manumaleuna... what can I say but... awesome catch!

                            13. My heart's still fluttering!

                            14. Welcome back long pass!

                            15. Mike Martz - good job coaching!

                            16. Marmie - don't know what you did at halftime, but it worked!

                            17. Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long, who ridiculed Martz at halftime... would you like fries with that crow?

                            18. Man this one feels good!

                            19. The Rams/Seahawks rivalry is big... only going to get bigger!

                            20. This was one of the most satisfying regular season wins ever!

                            1. Man, I feel good right now.

                            2. Bulger is one cool customer.

                            3. Cam Cleeland?

                            4. Curtis was big today!

                            5. Run D played better than it has all year today.

                            6. Torry lived up to his nickname.

                            7. Chad Brown is very good player.

                            8. Big sack by Kennedy on final drive.

                            9. Its a good thing the Hawk receivers can't catch.

                            10. I must have missed the memo rescinding the late hit penalty rule before the game.

                            11. Red Zone offense and defense today were key.

                            12. All that worrying about the weather today for nothing.

                            13. This is the most dangerous 8-8 team ever.

                            14. Did I mention I'm feeling good?

                            15. Faulk made some key plays today. Glad we still have him.

                            16. Refs... oy... I'll just leave that alone.

                            17. That last drive reminded me of the 1999/2000 Super Bowl.

                            18. I think this team can win another one next week.

                            19. Martz was patient, varried his offense, and made an incredible call on the McDonald catch and run on the last drive. What can I say? Great job, Mike.

                            20. Aren't you glad the time out issue is going to be a footnote and not a headline?

                            20 Random Post-Denver Game Thoughts
                            by AvengerRam_old
                            1. There's nothing like watching a win at home (for my full account, and some photos, check out my recent article).

                            2. We now may actually have the best offense - a good defense.

                            3. Will Witherspoon is everything we hoped he'd be.

                            4. Marc Bulger looked a bit off, but don't underestimate the impact of Denver's tough coverage schemes.

                            5. Steven Jackson doesn't always pick the right hole, but he gained some yards yesterday that only a 230+ lb. back can gain.

                            6. I'm surprised Kevin Curtis didn't do more.

                            7. McCollum is a bad loss, but not one that can't be overcome.

                            8. Thumbs up to Jimmy Kennedy, who played tough with a broken hand.

                            9. Special Teams were outstanding. From kick coverage, to punting (Turk, 3 punts for 50 yard average), to Wilkins' scoring.

                            10. Is it me, or does Ty Hill remind you of Dre Bly?

                            11. Alex Barron is so physically dominant, but he needs to keep his head in the game on every play.

                            12. Anyone screaming to bench Bulger, Barron or anyone else, should just hush.

                            13. Fakhir Brown may be one of the most underrated FA pickups in the league.

                            14. Leonard Little is going to have a big year.

                            15. I didn't relax until the 2 minute warning.

                            16. Hey, at least we have as many TDs as Seattle!

                            17. Travis Fisher's re-emergence is a huge and very pleasant surprise.

                            18. Dear Media... Praise Haslett, but not to the exclusion of Linehan.

                            19. Gotta keep this going next week in San Fran.

                            20. Man, I'm glad football is back.

Polley's Resurgence, and other Random Thoughts
                            by AvengerRam_old
After being benched to start the year, and despite a rib injury, Tommy Polley has really stepped it up and contributed in the last three weeks. Over that span, he has 18 tackles, 2 sacks and a forced fumble. Nice to see him playing to his potential again.

The last two drafts have really started paying off with several contributers, including Pisa Tinoisamoa, Kevin Curtis, Sean McDonald, DeJuan Groce, Scott Tercero, Steven Jackson, Anthony Hargrove and Brandon Chillar.

I worried about a lot of things during the Seahawk game, but one thing that I did not worry about was whether Jeff Wilkins would make the kick to send the game into overtime. He is, indeed, money.

As much as I have come to dislike the Patriots, I hope they take care of the Seahawks this week.

I hope we see more screen passes to Jackson. Its great watching him run in the open field with smaller D backs trying to tackle him.

Is there still a Rams-Bucs rivalry? I guess we'll see on Monday.

On the Manumaleuna TD - I was trying to think of the last time I saw a man that big go that high up to grab a ball. I'm thinking it was when Charles Barkley was playing.

The cuisine report for Monday night's game: Chicken wings - probable. A green vegetable (other than celery sticks) - questionable. Carb-free BBQ sauce - doubtful. Tofu - out.

Am I the only one who thinks that Travis Fisher's return will be a huge boost to the defense?

Did you notice which RB picked up the blitz on Sean McDonald's game winning TD? I'll give you a hint... it wasn't Marshall Faulk (though he probably learned that from Marshall).

Anthony Hargrove will get his first NFL sack this week. Write it down.

Less than two weeks until the Rams visit me here in So. Fla.! Can't wait!

                            1. I guess Bulger can produce in this offense.

                            2. Underrated statistic - Steven Jackson: 77 touches, 0 fumbles.

                            3. Underrated statistic #2 - Marc Bulger: 99 passing attempts, 0 interceptions.

                            4. I'm going to avoid the Christmas rush and say it now: Will Witherspoon is the best Rams free agent acquisition since Adam Timmerman. I can finally get over the loss of London Fletcher.

                            5. I'm also glad the rest of the league didn't know Fakhir, like Jim knew Fakhir (is that a song?)

                            6. Get used to Victor Adeyanju in the starting lineup.

                            7. Get ready for Tye Hill in the starting lineup.

                            8. Does a week pass when we aren't thrilled to have Jeff Wilkins?

                            9. That Torry Holt guy can play.

                            10. In case you were wondering, I did feel a little bad for Kurt Warner. But, just a little.

                            11. If I made a list of defensive players from other teams I'd want in a Rams uniform, Adrian Wilson would be in the top 10. Maybe top 5.

                            12. That said, O.J. Atogwe is starting to come along nicely.

                            13. Wonder what the deal is with Ron Bartell and Jeremetrius Butler.

                            14. Nice to see Dexter Coakley make a big play.

                            15. Ditto with Raonall Smith.

                            16. After two road games within the division, the Rams should welcome the home cooking this week.

                            17. Still would like to see more looks to the TE.

                            18. And more screens to Jackson.

                            19. After yesterday's finish, somewhere Joe Pisarcik must have been smiling.

                            20. Say what you want about the troubles that persist but, as Meatloaf once remarked, "Don't be sad, cause two out of three ain't bad."
