  • Mid-Season Awards and Anti-Awards

    Here's how I see it:

    Offensive MVP: Marc Bulger
Marc has played consistent football all season, and has demonstrated the ability to play well with the game on the line. He has 12 passing TDs, leads the NFC in passing yards, has a 92.0 passer rating, and 3 rushing TDs. Honorable Mention: Isaac Bruce.

    Defensive MVP: Pisa Tinoisamoa
While its hard to pick an MVP from this unit, Pisa is the best choice. Leads the team in tackles and has made some big plays. Honorable Mention: Damione Lewis.

    Special Teams MVP: Trev Faulk
The only player who has demonstrated a knack for kick coverage. The team needs more like him. Honorable Mention: Jeff Wilkins.

    Best Rookie: Steven Jackson
Has demonstrated the skills that made him a first round choice. Will hopefully get more opportunities in second half of season. Honorable Mention: Anthony Hargrove.

    Most Improved: Shaun McDonald
Has established himself as the third WR and made some big plays, including the game winner in Seattle. Honorable Mention: Damione Lewis.

    Biggest Disappointment: Leonard Little
Has made some big plays, as expected, but has disappeared at times as well. Can't blame it on Grant Wistrom's departure, as the combination of Bryce Fisher and Anthony Hargrove has done a good job. Dishonorable Mention: Robert Thomas.

Player Most Needed to Be Replaced: Grant Williams
Simply cannot handle the RT position in the Rams' offense. Need to go to Plan B immediately and start thinking about long term solution. Dishonorable Mention: Chris Dishman.

    Unsung Hero: Joey Goodspeed
Has done a fine job solidifying the FB position. Honorable Mention: Ryan Pickett.

    Best Moment: Comeback in Seattle
That is one we'll remember for years to come. Honorable Mention: Adam Archuleta's TD vs. Tampa on MNF.

Worst Moment: Collapse against New Orleans
Absolutely no excuse for failing to come away with victory in that game. Dishonorable Mention: The entire Miami game.
