  • If the Playoffs started today who is in for the NFC?

Who do you pick to be in the "game" at season's end?

My picks: Eagles and ATL are the top seeds. Followed by my prayer for my beloved RAMS, then Vikings, Packers and c-chicks winning wildcard spots.

I think the Giants and 'aints have tougher schedules and too much working against them.

I hope Santa answers my prayers!

    Seedings
    1. Philly - East champs
    2. Atlanta - South champs
    3. Packers - North champs
    4. Rams - West champs
    5. Hawks - Wildcard 1
    6. Vikings - Wildcard 2
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Assuming that I have the tiebreakers correct, it would look like this:

      Seeds:

      1. Eagles (bye)
      2. Falcons (bye)
      3. Rams
      4. Packers
      5. Giants
      6. Seahawks

First round of the playoffs would be Seattle @ St. Louis and New York Giants @ Packers.

If the Rams and Packers won their games at home, the second round would be Rams @ Falcons and Packers @ Eagles.

If the Rams were to beat the Falcons, they could host the NFC Championship game if the Packers were to beat the Eagles.

Of course, the season does not end today, and all this is likely to change.

I like your scenario. Come on Santa! I have been a good boy!

Hmm, now that I re-read this post, I don't know that I answered correctly. I thought we were guessing who would be in the playoffs come week 18, but now I'm thinking that wasn't the original idea. Sorry if I posted when I shouldn't have.

            NFC Worst?
            by TekeRam
Just once, I'd like to pop into the TV when the talking heads start talking about the NFC "Worst" and kindly remind them that over the past 11 seasons, the current teams in the NFC West have gone to the Super Bowl four times, more than any other division in the NFL save the AFC East, who coincidentally only has four participants because of the Patriots' four trips. The NFC West has had 3 different participants, tied with the NFC South.

If you really want to throw worsts into it, why not go after the AFC West, who hasn't sent a rep to the big game since the 2002 season.

            The NFC West
            by evil disco man
People have been calling the NFC West the weakest division in the NFL for years now. They can say what they want, but the fact is that the West has represented the NFC in 4 of the last 10 Super Bowls, more than any other division.

I don't know about you guys, but I enjoy rooting for other West teams in the playoffs to represent us well. If we can't beat 'em out during the season, I'd rather see them take it all the way than any other team. The only exception for me was rooting for the Steelers vs. Seahawks, only because I personally can't stand Hasselbeck, but I was pulling for them throughout the playoffs up to that point.

If you find it difficult rooting for our West rivals in the playoffs, remember that one benefit of other West teams making it far in the playoffs (or esp. into the SB) is that their roster and coaching staff is usually raided by other teams afterward, boding well for the Rams in following seasons.

            Go NFC West!

If the season were to end today...
            by AvengerRam_old
The Rams would be the #4 seed in the playoffs as the NFC West Champ, and would start the playoffs hosting...

Kurt Warner and the New York Giants.

            It could happen.
