  • The most provocative, divisive and controversial poll question ever.

    Wow...

    I really built that up, didn't I?

If you respond, I ask that you vote for one of the options. Don't hedge by altering the choices. Its A or B. That's it.

    Thanks!

Keep the Rams in St. Louis; doing so will result in at least 10 years of mediocrity.

    I went with Option #2.

Make no mistake. All things being equal, I'd rather the Rams stay in St. Louis. Its closer to where I live, and I enjoy going there for games.

But my loyalty is to the success of the team over its location so, if moving meant a championship, I'd be on board with that in a heartbeat.

I went with SB and moving the team to LA... It's a hot topic for sure.

Yea all things considered I hope they stay in St. Louis but.... it's team first for me so I went with the LA/Super Bowl choice.

          Where's the neither option?

Absent that, option A, as it is better than what we have had the past 10 years. B would only be an option if it was 3 or more SB wins in 10 years, or a SB win within 2 years.

Re: The most provocative, divisive and controversial poll question ever.

I'd rather that the team was resident in a community that viewed the team as 'theirs' and turned up in their thousands to fill the home stadium win or lose. In the UK, whilst we're used to the wild vagaries of sporting fortune, because the team has a community identity, that's what we're used to and the whole concept of moving a 'franchise' is anathema.

Consequently, I have no sympathy at all for St Louis residents who demand that the Rams become a winner before they turn up and feel that if St Louis ends up losing the Rams, its because they didn't want them enough to not have them.

I started supporting the Rams in 1980 when they were in L.A and would largely favour a move 'home' (I haven't forgotten Cleveland) for that reason and because I'd like to think that the Rams would fill more seats there. St Louis seems to me to be a largely baseball town that views the Rams as an off-season pastime that's an entertainment as long as they're winning and if it isn't, well that's an excuse for local journo's to excuse the swathes of empty seats and road game atmosphere at the Ed.

Chicken and egg, you want the Rams to play better at home, turn up and support them. Want to keep the team? Show Stan you're not fair-weather and you're in it for the long-term, just like you're asking him to be.

I've tended to stay out of the whole "Rams to LA" thing and give St Louis the benefit of the doubt but every season I spend $200 a season for gamepass and see sections of red seats without fans posteriors on them (and mine would be one if I lived in the continental US) I see no reason why Stan shouldn't entertain a move.

And if you guaranteed him and us and Jeff Fisher a decent Stadium and SB if he did, I'm sure he'd consider it.

            I would.

            I did and voted yes.

Plain and Simple: I only care about the Rams and I only care about Rings.

I want them to stay in STL as long as possible, but Rings are all that matter

The Rams give up their home in God's country, and in return I have to wait 10 years for a SB winner? Geez, I could be dead long before then. I'll take mediocrity for the next 10 years in the Heartland..........and right now mediocrity sounds pretty good.

I agree with GAP. The choice isnt really that easy by the way. Its easy to pick either. Unless you are saying Rams win more than 2 in the next 3 years in LA

                        Option 2:

Harder choice for St Louis Natives. Others ... not so much. But i would like to see 10 years of supporting a defunct franchise rewarded with another ring in St Lou.

10 more years of no real hope, or improvement, hope, and a ring within 10 years. No brainer...move the team.

I voted yes. Looking up this thread there are people from all over the country who are die hard Rams fans. I stay out of the "moving" topics because frankly I couldn't care less. Like most people here, I don't live in St. Louis. I want the Rams to win regardless of where they call home. I definitely understand fans in St. Louis not wanting the team to leave, but you could move them to Alaska if it meant they'd be a dynasty.

I feel like option 1 is the equivalent to picking your favorite player to have a great year, but the team goes .500..bottom line, I want the Rams to win regardless of who is on the field, sideline, or what state they play in.

If the Rams continue to play as they did last Sunday, do we petition Georgia to permanently change the name of the team to the St. Louis Freds? Bear in mind, Marshall's paleontolgy may become more inspired.
