  • The Trial of Larry Marmie (Pink Floyd style)

    Good evening, Clan of honor
    This game should plainly show
    The current Rams D coordinator
Could only be described as stealing
Stealing wages for a D that is a failure
    This will not due

    Call the Cardinal fan!

I always said he'd come to no good
    You poor Clan of honor
If Martz were not his friend
Its our defense he would shape
    Thank god for nepotism
Now Martz he has our garbage
    He's getting away with murder
    You must fire him today

[Marmie] Lazy, all these first rounders
    They are lazy
    Clearly not my fault

    Call the Ram fan!

    You little twit
    You've done it now
I just can't stand you Sir Marmie
You should not have been hired
But Martz is your good friend and no!
He had to go his own way
Have you seen all those long runs lately
For just five minutes, Clan of honor
    Him and me alone!

    [Martz]
    Maaaaaaaaaarmie!!!!
    Come to Martzy Marmie
Let me hold you in my arms
M'Clan I never wanted us to get in so much trouble
Oh shoot, we will just fix it
Come on Marmie, I will take you home

    [Marmie]Lazy, boys with big contracts
They are lazy, toughness they don't know
There must have been a star there on the D
    When I came in...
Lazy, boys with big contracts they are lazy!

The evidence before the court is incontrovertable
There's no need for the jury to retire
In all my years of fandom, I have have never seen before
A defense that contains so many flaws and many pores
The way you've made them suffer
These wonderful ClanRam sisters and brothers
Fills me with the urge to deficate!
Since, Marmie, you still seem to have coach Martz's ear
I sentence you by bidding Ram fans to raise a cheer

    Marmie take the fall!
    Marmie take the fall!
    Marmie take the fall!
    Marmie take the fall!

Rex Ryan - how I wish you were here.

Martz - get off the dark side of the moon.

Young defenders - that's enough learning to fly.

Orlando - quit worrying about MONEY.

Bulger - shine on you crazy diamond.

I think this thread is sufficiently tongue-in-cheek to allow for such an exception.

As much as I would love for our Rams to be dogs of war, they look more like relics, obscured by clouds. I think I had a momentary lapse in reason when believing that this team would march on their opponents with delicate sounds of thunder. But alas, someone needs to meddle with this roster of animals. Hopefully, the final cuts have not been made. But I'm exhausted, I've hit a wall.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

                          Martz and Marmie
                          by r8rh8rmike
Mike Martz never wavered in his support and praise of Larry Marmie and his abilities. If Martz gets a head coaching job with another NFL team, would he take Marmie with him? Does he still believe Marmie is a legitimate NFL DC? Would another NFL team agree to hire Martz if Marmie is in the deal?

It's been speculated that part of the reason Martz has fallen out of favor with the Rams is his refusal to get rid of Marmie. I think it will be interesting to see what happens with Martz after the season and if Marmie remains a useful commodity to him.

                          Marmie Back Next Season?
                          by CarolinaRam
I knew that would get ya....

But really. What is the chance that Marmie is not fired after the season is over? I thought for sure he'd be gone after last year.

Normally I don't start thinking about this sort of thing so early, but our season is over - no doubt about that. I'm so confused by what our FO wants, I think that possibly Marmie could return. It's been said that the FO doesn't want to be a consistently winning team and Marmie is just the guy to guarantee that.

I do believe, however, that he's pretty much gone. The defense is under a microscope, how could he not be? Nevertheless, I still worry.

Larry Marmie Get The D Aggressive or GET OUT
                          by ramsbruce
Our defence is lackluster. Someone posted that we should put AW back at corner and I agree, he is still our best cover corner. Spy running QBs (ie VICK). Just get out there and light somebody up, start hitting people, have some emotion, play with pride. I dont think Marmie is the answer but the D at least has to try to play with pride. :ramlogo:
