  • Faulk might not play

KFNS is reporting Faulk will be a game time decision. He has not practiced all week due to a sore knee.

    This a good thing?

Might be good to see what the kid can do carrying for the entire game. I bet he'll make our running game look good.

Historically, Faulk hurt is never a good thing. But it is a timely opportunity to see what Jackson can do as a feature back. That is, if Martz will hand him the ball. Give the **ers a taste of what the future holds....

I hate to see my man Marshall hurt, but it may be time to see if Steven is up for the task, I think he is. He's been put into games a differnt time's, he has the feel for the NFL, he definatly can run with the rock. I am not even concered with his fumble, I think it was a good thing to fumble in this last week's game, learning curve. :ramlogo:

Exactly....taking the optimistic approach, I'm going to assume we are still going to make the playoffs. That being said....I want Faulk to be healthy for playoffs....who gives a crap about the Whiners, who we should be able to beat with me at running back. I don't care if Faulk doesn't play the rest of the season as long as he's ready for the playoffs.

Oh...and by the way...I drafted Jackson on my fantasy team. :king:

Yo , the playoffs are a stretch and Imean I can't do the splits and that is the kind of stretch I'm talking about. :upset: Just looks a little gloomy! :upset:

marshall may start but i foresee jackson carrying the bulk of the load... marshall has had knee problems in each of the past four seasons... his legacy in the league may be coming to an end...

Time to start the kid! I'd love to see him run for 100+ on the Whiners.

If he does, I would think it would be painfully obvious (if it isn't already) that we'd have a bit of a RB controversy on our hands.

We have to face the fact that Marshall is getting old for a RB...we have SJ and he seems to be doing well so far, and with the tutalage of MF, he will be one of the elite in a few years. Marshall has done extremely well this year, age, injuries, and all. I say let him rest up, play when we NEED him, but otherwise, work on keeping him as a coach when he does have to retire. That man is SMART!!!

Does anyone see a parallel to replacing KW at QB because of a "concussion" with replacing MF at RB because of a "knee injury"? I do. It's Jackson's job to lose from here on out.

                            Rams: Faulk downgraded

                            The News

Running back Marshall Faulk was downgraded from probable to questionable on the Rams' injury report because of a bruised left knee and may miss the team's week 13 game against the *****. Faulk, who had two knee operations last year, will not practice this week. "We've got to give Marshall a chance to recover. He's very quiet about it [the injury] and doesn't say anything about it, and doesn't want anybody to know about it," head coach Mike Martz told the Associated Press. "But nonetheless, we need to do the right thing by Marshall." Stephen Jackson will start for the Rams if Faulk can't play.

                            Our View

Jackson has looked good as a backup throughout the season and will get a chance to shine this week against a *****' defense that allowed Faulk to run for 121 yards earlier this season. Arlen Harris will be Jackson's backup.

                            From Football Diehards:

As Pro Football Weekly noted this morning, Marshall Faulk has been limited to just 13 yards on 20 carries in his last two games combined, and reportedly, the primary reason for his lack of production is sore knees.

The veteran running back appears on this week's injury report, but is listed as probable and plans to be available for Sunday's game against the San Francisco *****.

According to St. Louis Post-Dispatch staffer Jim Thomas, Faulks sore knee coul lead to more playing time Sunday for rookie Steven Jackson, who basically has been splitting repetitions with Faulk the past two games.

                            From KFFL on A. Williams:

Rams: Williams questionable with neck injury

                            The News

Rams' safety Aeneas Willliams is listed as questionable on the injury report for Sunday's game against the ***** because of a pinched nerve in his neck and shoulder, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. If Williams plays on Sunday, he will likely be limited to playing in nickel and dime situations.

                            Our View

Williams has been bothered by this injury since training camp. He kept it quiet most of the year and played through the pain, but it's bothered him enough lately that he underwent further medical testing on Tuesday.

You get to see how cheap this organization really is during stuff like this and they didn't disappoint. The whole thing was bad, they wouldn't shut the stupid music off and it kept drowning out Faulk. And that banner.....Besides being initially hung sideways that banner is embarrassing to a player like Faulk, it looks homemade and like it should be on some kids wall in his room.

OK, I'm completely confused about what is going on with Marshall. Named the starter, but only gets 11 carries? He looked ready, willing and able all night long. The fact that he was no where to be found in crunch time is most perplexing.
