    Bulger resumes passing at practice

Rams coach Mike Martz was in a sunny mood Wednesday afternoon. Injured quarterback Marc Bulger resumed passing at practice and injured running backs Steven Jackson and Marshall Faulk were both eager to get back on the field.

“Marc is going to throw today,” Martz said. “I don’t know what that means. We’ll have to see how he does.”

As for Jackson and Faulk, he said, “we might be at full strength at running back.” Jackson’s bruised knee suffered no additional swelling after workouts Monday and Tuesday.

After sitting out the previous two games with bruised knees, Faulk wanted to start preparing for Sunday’s game at Arizona.

On the down side, Martz elected to hold out injured guards Adam Timmerman (both shoulders) and Tom Nutten (leg) and practice youngsters Darnell Alford and Larry Turner instead.

“I should have gotten Tommy some help sooner,” Martz said.

Safety Aeneas Williams will miss at least the next couple of games due to an arthritic condition in his neck. On the other hand, linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa expects to play despite his recurring shoulder injury.

He's a warrior. That's all there is to it. I hope he's a lifetime Ram.

With Martz, it's always "I shoulda this" or "I shoulda that"......there's a concept out there....it's called being proactive instead of reactive....maybe he "should" try that.

He is a warrior for sure. I hope he is smart enough to keep himself out of the game when necessary. There is a future involved, and I don't want him to burn out too quickly playing the hero all the time, but I understand with playoff hopes still alive how he would want to stay in the game.

A lot of players are playing hurt and showing courage and heart under trying times. It is inspirational.

I miss Aeneas and I hope he is able to recover and play some more.

He's having a Pro Bowl year but not getting any press because of the overall performance of the unit as a whole.
