  • Finesse Football?

"All they did was hand it off to Marshall Faulk, and he just ran up and down the field," Minter said. "It's not too much pounding going on in that. It's not like he's running people over. There wasn't anybody touching him. If that's not finesse, I don't know what it is. We don't say their offense out-physicaled us. When a guy runs for 80 yards and doesn't get touched, I don't know what you call that. When you see Walter Payton running people over for 30 or 40 yards, that's physical football." - Panther's Safety Mike Minter.

Can you believe this guy? His team just got beat 48 to 14 and he comes out talking smack! I don't care if we slapped you instead of punching you in the mouth....WE WON.....Shut up!

with all this finesse talk, you have to wonder why the Rams "aren't playing rough football" as everybody seems to say. Maybe because they're kicking the sh!t outta everyone and don't need to play down and dirty, that's what the whiners and aints are for:p

Minter is an idiot. Not only did Marshall tear up the field, but Canidate also rushed for 100 plus yards. No matter what the Rams do they will be labeled a finesse team.Oh well,as long as we win who cares.Let other teams diss our Rams.It really seems to motivate our guys.Bring on the Pats!

      GO RAMS! STAY FOCUSED! WIN!
ST.LOUIS RAMS:THE MOST FRUSTRATING TEAM IN THE NFL!!!

You would think that the way the league and all of the sportcasters bad mouth the Rams, we would be 1-7 instead of 7-1. It is time to forget what everyone says, thinks, or writes about the Rams, and just look at the record. If the game against the Panthers was finesse, then I hope we finesse the rest of the NFL the very same way.

For those of you not fluent in bull****, I've provided a quick translation of the Mike Minter's comments.

"All they did was hand it off to Marshall Faulk, and he just ran up and down the field"
            Translation: "We can't tackle."

"It's not like he's running people over. There wasn't anybody touching him."
            Translation: "We REALLY can't tackle."

"When a guy runs for 80 yards and doesn't get touched, I don't know what you'd call that."
Translation: "I've said it before, and I'll say it again, our D can't tackle for ****."

Oh, and by the way Mr Minter. When you see Walter Payton runnning people over for 30 or 40 yards, that's not physical football - that's either a video tape or a dream.
In the real world, you lost, your 1-7 and even your mother won't return your calls.
            Embarrasment!

:o What a joke!!!! Minter says that nobody even touched Marshall. Well that tells me is that the Panthers D couldn't make the plays cause they were busy getting up off their butts. Way to go O-Line.

                Running

I don't care how we run the ball as long as we don't fumble at all. Marshall can run backwards(and sometimes does),sideways,or skip to a first down, it doesn't matter. Marshall is a physical runner anyway, if he avoides a tackle you know he is going to pick up more yards. He will run over your *ss when he wants.

Dez nice new faces good job!:ram: :lid:

the definition of finesse is :
Highly refined skill, subtlety of style and preformance, artful
                  strategy, cunning

Now, how about that! When you look at it like that....I say The RAMS are finesse all the way. GO RAMS and Keep up the good work.
                  :ram: ;)
