I'm glad he gets to retire a Rams. What a player. Love seeing his highlights. Unfortunate for him that he got to play an entire career behind O-lines that forced you to break two defenders to get out of the backfield. And still he is 18th all time in yards.

Dude's been retired nearly 5 years, but yea....I'm glad to see this. It's the right thing. Eight straight years over 1,000 rushing yards......you don't see that much anymore. And his 2006 season was one of the best ever by a RB.

Excellent... Grand to see Jackson retire donning the Rams horns.

Now let him put his pads back on and have The Predator play part time during the regular season with Gurley sidelined for a breather.

Steven Jackson has officially voided the final year of his contract

Steven Jackson has officially voided the final year of his contract, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Jackson made his mind up about this weeks ago, but now the paperwork is in. He's giving up $7 million in 2013 so that he can test the market and land a long-term deal. A reunion with the Rams is possible, but true contenders such as the Packers and Falcons could also show interest. After averaging 4.23 yards per carry behind a woeful offensive line over the last two seasons, S-Jax is clearly the No. 1 running back available in free agency.
