I know I am may be way overboard here, but if the Rams let Az go his own way, would Terry Glenn be available on the cheap? Or some other receiver a team may be looking to dump, like a Joey Galloway?

If Glenn straightened out his personnal life he might be a good fit in the Rams offense.I dont know if he would come cheap though.Galloway,on the other hand, doesnt seem to have a good work ethic.I think him and Martz would clash.Just my opinion though.

Memorable No. 81...
Ftrovato, welcome to the Clan! But please, put that gun down, no more silly fumbles on our part and nobody gets hurt, OK?
:upset:
If we could only stick to ANYBODY but Az to return punts and kickoffs, and thus be able to sleep at night! Good grief! I like Az Hakim, really, as r-e-c-e-i-v-e-r. Coach Martz has made his point about being patient, longsuffering and considerate. Fine, no problem.
Much appreciated.
But Az has also made his point quite clear. He means well, of course, has great moves and can blow any punt return into a spectacular Rams TD. "But..." he can also blow it -- and too often!
Let's just get Canidate back there, or Adam Timmerman or Bobby April to make the kick returns, please! Keep Az on any capacity, have him throw a pass once in a while; run the reverse, the option or plain catch and take off -- just don't allow him to return, or spill, punt returns.
:lid: GO RAMS!!!
PS: Sorry TXRamfan, I forgot about the original question: no, I sure wouldn't like Terry Glenn anywhere near the Rams, not their roster, training camp, or locker room. No! I admit we are desperate but not that much. Let's search for a quality person before we go shoping for a quality player.Last edited by RealRam; -12-23-2001, 05:59 PM.Comment

After further review I have to agree about Glenn. Our Rams dont need any prima donnas or bad attitudes on the roster.A couple of bad apples can totally disrupt the rhythm of a team.Look what a couple of guys did to our defense last year.I do believe players do deserve a second chance, but I think Glenn has had quite a few chances already if I remember correctly.

Terry Glenn is a cancer in the locker room, and Martz wouldn't put up with his crap (remember how he canned Francis St. Paul in camp).
I say we use our 2nd or 3rd round pick to draft the WR from Hawaii who returned 3 kicks vs. BYU. (I think he was a senior. Anyone remember his name?)Comment

The good thing about the Rams is they have done it with unknowns ........... OK, apart from Faulk and Williams.
But who ever heard of Hakim before he was a ram ??
I think we trust the brains at the rams and see what they come up with ...... BUT if its a wish list your after
How about that giant of a wr at the Cardinals .. Boston is it ??
Can you see him playing for the rams, Oh boy oh boy oh boy :mask: :shield:

I dont think Boston would be available and I dont think he would come cheap. If we are just talking "wish list" I would love to see Tim Dwight in a Rams uniform. He would fit our system to a tee.I dont think he is available and I am not sure about his injury status.I know he punctured his lung and is out for the year, but thats all I've heard.

I'm just bored today so I checked out the Cardinals websight.Another interesting receiver would be Frank Sanders. If Boston or Sanders were available and Martz was interested,Aeneas Williams would have first hand information on how they might fit into the Rams system.Just a thought.
Merry Christmas!

Boston appears to be signed through 2002, according to http://www.nflpa.org. Here's the $$$ figs...
1999 $ 582,000.00
2000 $ 727,500.00
2001 $ 873,000.00
2002 $ 1,018,500.00
Frank Sanders
1998 $ 1,300,000.00
1999 $ 2,000,000.00
2000 $ 2,500,000.00
2001 $ 3,100,000.00
2002 $ 3,600,000.00
Boston will be getting some hefty contracts when he is a FA, look for him to leave Arizona, which could be good for the Rams with realignment. I doubt we persue either of these becuase they are too expensive, but I would LOVE to see Boston in a Rams uni...Comment

by txramsfanThat could be an option. The Ravens are having a fire sale, and Ismael is on fire. He could fit in perfect as the third wide out. If Yo can return kicks and learn to catch clutch passes this year in NFL Europe, there could be your lineup.

Once again, Az "the human peice of cancer" Hakeim has probably increased his bank account two-fold this week. Doesn't anybody find it slightly odd that this peice of cancer can fumble 300 times in one season. Hmmmmmm. When is the RAMS orginization going demand an investigation of his money transactions and possible dealings with "freinds" in Vegas!!!!!!
One would literally have to try to drop this many punts in a season. People, this is most likely NO ACCIDENT!!!!!!!!!-
