Being from Nebraska, I've always been a big fan of Wistrom and other Huskers (Ahman Green, Mike Brown, Kris Brown, Cory Schlesinger, Joel Makovicka), although I'm not that big of a Husker fan. I love watching Wistrom play, as he has a motor like no other, which is common of UNL players. He is a stud and will only get better and more dominating as his career goes on.:king:

"Ladies if you ever need a guided tour of the hometown of the Winstroms let me know. " Excuse me? It's WISTROM, no N!
As for competition, I'm old enough to be his momma, or at least his Aunt, so I tend to view him in a maternal way. I'm with Evil Disco Man, I love watching Grant play football. I think the hair is cool, but it has nothing to do with what he does on the field. Me and #1Footballgirl are 2 different kinds of fans. All is good though, as long as it's the RAMS that we are backing.
P.S. A fellow chatter that works in admissions at a hospital in St. Louis tells me Grant had an MRI done on his elbow. He's fine, nothing that would keep him out of a game. Always good to hear.

Just a comment about Grant's hair....
I just made the comment that I love Grant's hair, not that it's why he plays so good. It does add character to him, but if he was a baldie I'd still admire him for his skill. The type of football fan I am is one who enjoys watching the talent, ability and skill of ANY good footbal player, NOT if he is good-looking ! I despise it when a woman says they love a player because he is "cute". I love watching a great quarterback, which not only includes Kurt, but also Favre, Garcia, Stewart, etc. I was a loyal Cardinal fan while they were in STL and one of my favorite players was Pat Tilley....because he was GOOD !

Okie, what town are you near? I'm from Edmond, myself. Been through Grand Lake a few times, nice area. My daughter got hurt in Afton, once (remember that old place with the "World Famous Giant Buffalo?) and we spent a Thanksgiving at the hospital in Grove...and then, I got us lost on the way out of town and we ended up taking the backroads through the hills all the way to Springfield. Quite a trip!

Daddo I live in Miami, just north of the lake about 15 miles. Afton is about halfway between Miami and Grand Lake. Buffalo Ranch is the place your talking about. It closed down 4 or 5 years ago. Spent many saturday's when I was young riding the ponies and looking at the Buffalo's they had there.

It is really good to see some female
Ramsfans! I am from St. Louis and there are plenty
here but I am usually the only female in the chatroom
when the game is on. You should come in there
sometime. I love Kurt Warner ( and all the rams guys)
because they are awsome players and great people.
I know people that live close to several of them and
they see them in the stores and out in their yards with their
kids and other things. They are also very generous to the community. I am proud of them.
I also think they are very cute. so sue me!! ;)
GO RAMS

female football fan
I am a female Rams fan and have been for a long time
(I guess you can tell since I signed on as a Gabrielfan, ha, ha).
But, I have followed them from LA to Anaheim and St. Louis
and have been a faithful fan throughout. I have always liked
their quarterbacks, from Roman to Vince to Kurt. But alas,
I'm too old for Kurt and he is happily married. But that's great,
he's a super guy and leader. Go Rams!

I have not been a football fan for long. I too, am too old for Kurt and I have to say that I not only like him, his whole family is darling. I want to see if I can get his wife to speak at our school.
She does a lot of that sort of thing. I would love to have Kurt speak there but I am not sure how much money that would cost. We have a lot of children at my school ( I work at a school) that could use some encouraging words from someone like him. I agree with you. he is a great leader. He is a good example for not only children but for adults as well.
Thanks for responding to my post and feel free to contact me anytime.

Love the "tastes like chicken" comment. Mind if I borrow that one shedata?
I used to go into the chat room during games because early in the season while Nascar was on I couldn't get the games on a channel I could get, so I'd listen to the radio and chat. But the computer isn't in same room as the tv, so as long as I can get the game on the tube, you won't see me in the chatroom. Sorry. I'm happy to say that the local NBC station that usual borrows the FOX broadcasts will be airing the Super Bowl.
Hi Gabrielfan, I envy that you're a longtime fan. Didn't grow up in a football watching household. My father just fell asleep in front of it. Like the two of you, I'm too old for any of the Rams' players which is really ok with me. I would find it too distracting if I wasn't, this way I can enjoy the game and how they play without being influenced by appearances or "silly" thoughts. I won't specify what kind, you know what I mean. ;)
I have 4 albums of pictures taken at this past summer's Rams training camp here in Macomb, Illinois include a few of Brenda Warner and her and Kurt's son, Cade. They are at http://communities.msn.com/stlramsfansonly in the photo album under TrainingCamp2001.
