Guest repliedHi MsWistRAM, I didn't grow up watching football but was forced into it with my ex-husband. He was so sports crazy, he'd watch anything!!!!! But I got hooked on Football, especially the Rams because I'm originally from LA. I had a crush on Roman Gabriel
who was quite good looking! But now I am old, ha, ha, and I
don't have crushes anymore. I'm just still so in love with the
Rams and I want them to win so badly that I about have a nervous breakdown when they are in the playoffs. My nerves are raw, my stomach is queezy, I'm not even sure I'm going to be able to watch the game, isn't that silly? Anyway, take care!
GO RAMS, Stay focused and and I'm begging Kurt's front line to please protect him against the evil Philadelphia defense! They're
out to do damage!

Guest repliedEagles taste like chicken
Ms Wistrom,
Sure you can use that "taste like chicken" thing
I didn't think it up. It was on a fan's sign in the crowd at the last game. The one where we killed the pack!
I have a small tv just to the left of my computer so I can chat and watch. Lately though I have just been watching. Not in the room because I have been a bit under the weather. I wish the fans would come into the room AFTER the game to talk some chit chat about the game. It is hard to chat during the game because you have to wait to say anything when the game is on. Some of the people are not in America watching it. ( That totally blows me away too btw) They have a delay on the game by about 2 minutes or so. Anyway,
you know what the cows say " EAT MORE CHICKEN"
bye for now

Guest repliedLove the "tastes like chicken" comment. Mind if I borrow that one shedata?
I used to go into the chat room during games because early in the season while Nascar was on I couldn't get the games on a channel I could get, so I'd listen to the radio and chat. But the computer isn't in same room as the tv, so as long as I can get the game on the tube, you won't see me in the chatroom. Sorry. I'm happy to say that the local NBC station that usual borrows the FOX broadcasts will be airing the Super Bowl.
Hi Gabrielfan, I envy that you're a longtime fan. Didn't grow up in a football watching household. My father just fell asleep in front of it. Like the two of you, I'm too old for any of the Rams' players which is really ok with me. I would find it too distracting if I wasn't, this way I can enjoy the game and how they play without being influenced by appearances or "silly" thoughts. I won't specify what kind, you know what I mean. ;)
I have 4 albums of pictures taken at this past summer's Rams training camp here in Macomb, Illinois include a few of Brenda Warner and her and Kurt's son, Cade. They are at http://communities.msn.com/stlramsfansonly in the photo album under TrainingCamp2001.

Guest repliedI have not been a football fan for long. I too, am too old for Kurt and I have to say that I not only like him, his whole family is darling. I want to see if I can get his wife to speak at our school.
She does a lot of that sort of thing. I would love to have Kurt speak there but I am not sure how much money that would cost. We have a lot of children at my school ( I work at a school) that could use some encouraging words from someone like him. I agree with you. he is a great leader. He is a good example for not only children but for adults as well.
Thanks for responding to my post and feel free to contact me anytime.

Guest repliedfemale football fan
I am a female Rams fan and have been for a long time
(I guess you can tell since I signed on as a Gabrielfan, ha, ha).
But, I have followed them from LA to Anaheim and St. Louis
and have been a faithful fan throughout. I have always liked
their quarterbacks, from Roman to Vince to Kurt. But alas,
I'm too old for Kurt and he is happily married. But that's great,
he's a super guy and leader. Go Rams!

Guest repliedIt is really good to see some female
Ramsfans! I am from St. Louis and there are plenty
here but I am usually the only female in the chatroom
when the game is on. You should come in there
sometime. I love Kurt Warner ( and all the rams guys)
because they are awsome players and great people.
I know people that live close to several of them and
they see them in the stores and out in their yards with their
kids and other things. They are also very generous to the community. I am proud of them.
I also think they are very cute. so sue me!! ;)
GO RAMS

Guest repliedDaddo I live in Miami, just north of the lake about 15 miles. Afton is about halfway between Miami and Grand Lake. Buffalo Ranch is the place your talking about. It closed down 4 or 5 years ago. Spent many saturday's when I was young riding the ponies and looking at the Buffalo's they had there.

Guest repliedOkie, what town are you near? I'm from Edmond, myself. Been through Grand Lake a few times, nice area. My daughter got hurt in Afton, once (remember that old place with the "World Famous Giant Buffalo?) and we spent a Thanksgiving at the hospital in Grove...and then, I got us lost on the way out of town and we ended up taking the backroads through the hills all the way to Springfield. Quite a trip!

Actually, Grant was a baldy when he played at Nebraska. He shaved his head, and looked like a stud. That also annoys me when people spell or pronounce his name "Winstrom", MsWistRAM. I don't know where people get that.

Guest repliedJust a comment about Grant's hair....
I just made the comment that I love Grant's hair, not that it's why he plays so good. It does add character to him, but if he was a baldie I'd still admire him for his skill. The type of football fan I am is one who enjoys watching the talent, ability and skill of ANY good footbal player, NOT if he is good-looking ! I despise it when a woman says they love a player because he is "cute". I love watching a great quarterback, which not only includes Kurt, but also Favre, Garcia, Stewart, etc. I was a loyal Cardinal fan while they were in STL and one of my favorite players was Pat Tilley....because he was GOOD !

Guest replied"Ladies if you ever need a guided tour of the hometown of the Winstroms let me know. " Excuse me? It's WISTROM, no N!
As for competition, I'm old enough to be his momma, or at least his Aunt, so I tend to view him in a maternal way. I'm with Evil Disco Man, I love watching Grant play football. I think the hair is cool, but it has nothing to do with what he does on the field. Me and #1Footballgirl are 2 different kinds of fans. All is good though, as long as it's the RAMS that we are backing.
P.S. A fellow chatter that works in admissions at a hospital in St. Louis tells me Grant had an MRI done on his elbow. He's fine, nothing that would keep him out of a game. Always good to hear.
