  • Cards SB loss hangover

The cards are a pretty good team but the odds are against them to have the kind of season they had in 08. What do you all think? Will they dominate the division again? Or will another NFC West team step up and win the division?

Doubtfull they will make it back to the big game for sure. The planets and stars were aligned just right for them last year. I think they have to be the odds on favorite to win the division though, Seattle won't do much this year, the Whiners will have a better season but not enough to catch the Cards and the Rams are still a season or two away from Spags getting his own fingerprint on this team. When he does, we'll be wondering if the Rams can win back to back Superbowls.

The Cardinals peaked at the right time last year and like makersncoke said, everything fell into place for them on their run to the Super Bowl. For a lot of the season they played on some pretty thin margins, winning a weak division with a 9-7 record.

They could very well win the West, but I'd be surprised if they can come close to duplicating what they did last year.

I agree, the Cards were a one year wonder. The do have talent, but they won't repeat what they did last year.

          What a glorious day

Prior and the Cubs get shelled 8-0
the Yanks get embarassed at home 22-0
And the Cards warmly greet the Padres to Busch by pounding them 9-3
The Cards lead the NL Central by 15.5
The Cards lead the NL by 10
The Cards lead the majors by 6.

If the Cards play .500 ball the rest of the way in, and the Cubs go undefeated, the Cards would still win the division.

          Life is good.

          Edge and the Cards.

Look guys I don't see how in the world people think that just because they got edge that there O-line will all of the sudden be better. they are counting on 2 rookies to get the job done, I dont see it happening for them. The cardinals are an overrated organization and will always be just the cards nothing more nothing less. that is just my opinion.

Pujols absolutely destroyed the brewers to tie it up in the NLCS! Anyone else been following this? Series tied up 1-1. Think they going to take it?

          Predictions.......Rams v Cards Round II
          by macrammer
yes, the Rams whupped the Cards 33-0 a little over a month ago. Yes, the Rams are the better team. But I have watched a few pressers and the Cards are pretty confident that playing at home will be the key here. While playoff chances still remotely linger for the Cards, losing Sunday is a sure nail in their coffin. I anticipate this game will be very hard fought TRUE divisional battle.

          Rams 24
          Cards 21

          What do you think?

Cards 4-3, rams 2-5, hawks 2-5, martzmuttz 2-6 / damn, we needed this one today!

The stage was set for next weeks show down with the Arizona Cardinals. With the Cards losing today to the Panthers, a Rams win in New England would've made for a much more meaningful matchup. Now the Rams will be playing out of desperation, knowing a loss in next weeks game could all but kill their chances of catching the Cards in the West, let alone making the playoffs. Hopefully by chance, the Cards take us lightly, knowing they have a comfortable lead in the NFC West by two games with a (4-3) record. At the end of the season, the Rams will look back and point out this game, the one before Halloween, against the PATS as the one that comes back to haunt them.

          P.S. TRICK OR TREAT?
